Kolkata tops the list as affordable residential real estate destination
Over the last 2–3 years, the demand for residential real estate units has been increasing in Kolkata. The first half of 2019 saw a decent rise in the sales of residential units across the city with increasing employment opportunities and a positive market outlook.
Kolkata has witnessed a major spurt due to surging capital values and the increase in demand, emerging as one of India’s fastest growing real estate markets. These developers are meeting the growing demand of residential units.
The unsold inventory in Kolkata is also decreasing, as the city joins the race to attract investors and buyers from various locations. Around 60 to 70 per cent have been budget-friendly projects, out of the 1,75,000 residential units launched since 2011.

The trend is expected to continue, as the city gears up to host more residential projects for the buyers and investors.
